GetReady Money gives plain, practical money help for everyday life, especially for newcomers to the US, students and families who send money home.
What we do
- Short, clear guides on budgeting, bank accounts, credit, sending money abroad and loans.
- Free calculators that run in your browser. Nothing you enter is stored or sent anywhere.
- Links to the official sources behind every guide, mainly the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the FDIC and the FTC, so you can read more and check what we say.
What we don't do
- We don't give financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and we don't recommend specific products. Our information is general and can't take your situation into account.
- We don't ask for your bank details or other personal financial information.
- There are no adverts or affiliate links on the site at the moment. If we ever add affiliate links, we'll label them clearly and say so here first.
How guides are written
Each guide is written in plain language, links to official sources, and shows the date it was last updated. Fees, rates and rules change often, so we re-check guides regularly. Guides are not yet reviewed by a licensed financial professional.
Who we are
GetReady Money is an independent website and part of GetReady, a small family of sites that help people prepare for what's next: GetReady Travel for trips, GetReady Health for everyday health and GetReady Academy for courses and exams.
